"Art, Science, & Engineering" is a 6 week long program where we have STEAM lessons that consist of things like building a coloring robot, making a kaleidoscope, and sculpting with clay.
It is very important for us to do everything we can to make education as accessible as possible. However, donations are always appreciated so that we can continue to offer programs like this to students.
We have projects with instructions that students have access to if they want to ever look back on them. The instructor presents their screen and does the project along with everyone. Once the project is done, there can be time afterwards for students to add personal touches and explore more creativity.
With the lesson types and projects that we have, we have noticed the best impactful response with girls ages 9-12.
Although at Computing Minds we primarily want to focus on helping girls pursue STEAM, we have let a few boys who were interested enroll in our classes.
Go to ComputingMinds.org/contact-us and send a message saying that you are interested in signing a girl age 9-12 up for "Art, Engineering, & Science." This program tends to fill up very quickly, but we are always forming more interest lists, and we will email you back regarding your message within 48 hours.
Here is a video of some project examples of our Art, Science & Engineering program.
We ask you to please take a moment to sign the following Amnesty International petition called "Stop the aggression and protect civilians in Ukraine."
